About Teach A Boy Child
Born from a heart-driven vision to uplift young men and transform communities across South Africa.
A Vision Born from Purpose
TABC – Teach A Boy Child, born from the vision of Siyabonga Assurance Mokoena, known affectionately as Siya, is not just an organization but a heart-driven movement. Siya, a proud product of the vibrant coal mining town of Emalahleni/Witbank in Mpumalanga, carries within him the tales of his roots.
As the eldest of three siblings, Siya's journey through life began at Carissa Primary School, followed by a transformative chapter at Hoërskool Generaal Hertzog. Siya is currently pursuing an Advanced Radio Qualification at the esteemed University of the Witwatersrand – Wits Radio Academy, while simultaneously delving into the world of business through courses with GNBR Solutions.
TABC was born out of Siya's unwavering mission: to extend a helping hand to the young boys in his community, those who may be grappling with challenges he intimately understands. He envisions a world where these boys, like himself, can rise above adversities and thrive.
Siya's vision for TABC goes beyond mentorship; it's about creating a movement that raises awareness of the social issues that impact us all, such as gender-based violence. It's about empowering young boys to be the change they wish to see.
